StreamSpot — Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 31, 2026 · Last Updated: August 31, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StreamSpot (the "Service"), including the StreamSpot website, livestream discovery features, leaderboards, creator profiles, Support features, payments, rankings, embedded livestream players, and creator management pages.
By accessing or using StreamSpot, submitting a channel, activating a Spot, sending a Support payment, claiming or managing a creator profile, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1. About StreamSpot
StreamSpot is an independent livestream discovery and ranking platform, operated by a single independent developer (not a company), designed to help users discover live creators and help creators gain visibility within the StreamSpot ecosystem.
StreamSpot displays and organizes publicly available livestream channels from third-party platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, and Kick.
StreamSpot is not a livestream hosting platform and does not own or control the livestreams displayed through the Service.
StreamSpot is independently operated and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially connected to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or any other third-party platform unless expressly stated otherwise.
Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and all related trademarks belong to their respective owners.
2. Definitions
For purposes of these Terms:
- "Creator" means a person or entity operating or controlling a livestream channel.
- "Channel" means a livestream channel or creator profile submitted to or displayed by StreamSpot.
- "Spot" means an active leaderboard placement within a category, obtained by paying at least the applicable floor price.
- "Support" means a voluntary monetary payment made through StreamSpot in support of an eligible Creator.
- "Supporter" means a person who makes a Support payment.
- "Claim" means the process through which a Creator verifies and obtains management access to a Channel.
- "Reward Pool" means the pool of funds StreamSpot allocates to eligible Creators from a portion of the revenue StreamSpot retains on Support payments after payment-processing costs, as described in Section 16.
3. StreamSpot Leaderboards
StreamSpot operates one or more public leaderboards.
Leaderboards rank Channels within a category based on the total amount paid toward that Channel's active Spot, with ties broken by which qualifying payment was confirmed earlier.
StreamSpot may have global and category-specific rankings. Examples may include Gaming, Music, Talk, IRL, and other categories.
StreamSpot may create, modify, combine, remove, or discontinue categories at any time.
4. Activating a Spot
A user may activate or contribute to a Spot by submitting a Channel URL and completing the applicable payment process. A user does not need to create an account before activating a Spot.
StreamSpot currently uses a floor-price model, not a competitive auction: any payment at or above the published floor price is accepted, and there is no requirement to "outbid" another user's payment to appear on the leaderboard.
Payments made toward the same Channel and category accumulate onto that Channel's single active Spot rather than displacing or refunding an earlier payment. A Channel's rank moves up or down within its category based on the total accumulated amount compared to other Channels, not based on being individually "outbid."
Submitting a Channel does not establish ownership of that Channel. A person may submit a Channel belonging to another Creator. Activating or contributing to a Spot does not transfer ownership or control of the underlying Channel.
5. No Guarantee of Results
Activating a Spot is a purchase of visibility or ranking placement within StreamSpot.
- A Spot does not guarantee:
- viewers; clicks; followers; subscribers; watch time; engagement; revenue; donations; sponsorships; customers; leads; conversions; social media growth; business opportunities; or any other specific result.
Traffic and engagement depend on many factors outside StreamSpot's control. StreamSpot makes no representation that a Creator will receive any particular amount of traffic, revenue, engagement, or audience growth as a result of appearing on the Service.
6. Ranking Rules
Where two or more Channels have the same accumulated amount within a category, the Channel whose qualifying payment was confirmed earlier ranks higher.
StreamSpot may modify ranking formulas, the floor price, tie-breaking mechanisms, category rules, or other ranking criteria at any time. The ranking rules applicable at the time of a transaction will be displayed or otherwise made available where appropriate.
7. Channel Submissions by Third Parties
StreamSpot allows any user to submit a publicly available Channel URL. The person submitting a Channel does not represent themselves as the owner of that Channel unless they actually have the right to do so.
StreamSpot may allow Channels to appear before their legitimate Creator has claimed them. The submission of a Channel does not grant the submitting user any ownership rights over that Channel.
StreamSpot may remove or modify a Channel listing when reasonably necessary, including following a valid ownership, impersonation, intellectual-property, legal, platform-policy, or abuse complaint.
8. Creator Claims and Ownership
A Creator may request management access to a Channel through StreamSpot's Claim process.
StreamSpot verifies a Claim through one of the following mechanisms: (a) an OAuth-based check confirming the requester's identity directly with Twitch, YouTube, or Kick; or (b) a bio-token check, where the requester temporarily pastes a StreamSpot-issued code into their public channel bio, which StreamSpot verifies by reading the channel's public bio through the relevant platform's API. StreamSpot may also perform manual review in individual cases.
StreamSpot is not required to accept every Claim request and may request additional information where ownership is unclear or disputed.
A Channel Claim does not transfer ownership of the underlying Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or other third-party account. The Creator remains solely responsible for the underlying third-party account.
9. Creator Management
Verified Creators receive access to a Creator Management page, which may include: Creator profile management; Support information; Supporter activity; ranking information; payout information; widget configuration; profile customization; and other creator features as they become available.
StreamSpot may restrict, suspend, or remove management access when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or violation of these Terms.
10. Support
StreamSpot allows users to financially Support eligible Creators. Support is separate from activating a Spot: a Support payment does not purchase or affect a leaderboard position.
A Support payment does not guarantee increased ranking, increased visibility, additional viewers, followers, subscribers, revenue, or any other specific outcome. Support is intended to allow users to voluntarily financially support participating Creators through StreamSpot.
A Support payment can be made without creating a StreamSpot account. An email address is collected at checkout for receipt and transaction purposes regardless of whether the Supporter chooses to display their name publicly (see Section 19).
11. Support Fees and Creator Share
For each Support transaction, the Creator receives a fixed 80% of the gross Support amount. StreamSpot retains the remaining 20% and pays all payment-processing costs out of that retained amount, so the Creator's share does not vary with processing fees. StreamSpot may change this percentage at any time; the rate applicable at the time of a transaction will be disclosed through the Service or applicable checkout flow.
The Creator's 80% share may still be affected by refunds, chargebacks, payment reversals, currency conversion, taxes, or fraud-prevention holds.
A Creator should not assume that the gross Support amount shown on StreamSpot represents the amount ultimately payable to the Creator. The applicable Support calculation displayed by StreamSpot at the relevant time will govern.
12. Payment Processing
Payments are processed by a third-party payment service provider, currently Polar. StreamSpot does not intentionally store complete payment card numbers or other full payment credentials, which are handled directly by the payment provider.
Third-party payment providers may impose their own terms, fees, verification requirements, restrictions, refund policies, and fraud controls. A payment may be delayed, rejected, reversed, refunded, or placed under review by a payment provider.
StreamSpot is not responsible for failures, restrictions, outages, or decisions made by third-party payment providers outside StreamSpot's reasonable control.
All payments processed through StreamSpot are currently denominated in US Dollars (USD).
13. Refunds, Reversals and Chargebacks
StreamSpot does not currently offer discretionary refunds. Because Spot payments accumulate onto a shared Channel ranking rather than reserving an individually refundable position, and because Support payments are voluntary contributions to a Creator, a completed payment is not refundable merely because the user changed their mind, the Channel's rank subsequently changed, the Channel received less attention than expected, or the Channel went offline.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude any mandatory refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under the law applicable to you.
If a payment is reversed, charged back, refunded by the payment provider, or otherwise invalidated, StreamSpot may remove the associated Spot contribution, reverse associated ranking benefits, adjust Support balances or Reward Pool calculations, delay payouts, suspend relevant functionality, or restrict future use.
14. Unclaimed Channels
A Channel may appear on StreamSpot before its legitimate Creator has claimed it. StreamSpot may restrict Support functionality for Channels that have not been verified or claimed.
StreamSpot does not guarantee that an unclaimed Channel will remain eligible to receive Support payments, and may suspend or restrict payments associated with an unclaimed, disputed, unavailable, or otherwise ineligible Channel.
15. Creator Payouts
Creators must satisfy StreamSpot's payout requirements before receiving funds, which may include identity verification, ownership verification, payment information, tax information, or other reasonable compliance information.
StreamSpot may delay or suspend a payout where reasonably necessary due to fraud concerns, chargebacks, payment reversals, disputes, incomplete verification, legal requirements, sanctions, suspicious activity, or other legitimate risk.
Creators are responsible for providing accurate payout information. StreamSpot is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect payout information supplied by a Creator.
16. Reward Pool
StreamSpot allocates 30% of the revenue it retains on Support payments, after payment-processing costs, to a Creator Reward Pool. Because processing costs vary by transaction, the pool's size as a share of gross Support revenue varies. The Reward Pool is separate from Spot activations.
The Reward Pool for a given payout period (the 1st–15th and the 16th–end of each month) is distributed automatically at the start of the following period. StreamSpot may change the pool's funding percentage, the distribution schedule, or discontinue the Reward Pool at any time, subject to applicable law and any rights already accrued under the rules in effect at the relevant time.
Participation in the Reward Pool does not constitute an investment, security, ownership interest, or guaranteed income.
17. Reward Distribution
Where a Reward Pool is active for a given period, it is currently split so that the ten highest-ranked eligible Creators for that period share 70% of the pool across fixed per-rank slots (currently 35% / 20% / 12% / 8% / 6% / 3.8% / 3.8% / 3.8% / 3.8% / 3.8%, from rank 1 to rank 10), and all other eligible Creators share the remaining 30% in proportion to the Support they received that period. If fewer than ten Creators are eligible in a given period, the entire pool is instead distributed in proportion to Support received, without the fixed top-10 slots. StreamSpot may change these percentages, the number of fixed slots, or the distribution methodology at any time.
A Creator may receive no Reward Pool payment for a given period if the Creator does not meet the eligibility requirements, has an unresolved payment issue, has failed required verification, has engaged in prohibited activity, or otherwise becomes ineligible under the applicable rules.
StreamSpot may correct calculation errors and adjust future distributions where reasonably necessary.
18. Supporter Rankings
StreamSpot may publicly display Support-related rankings, including: Most Supported Today; Top Supporters; Creator Support Activity; and other Support-related rankings.
Depending on the feature, publicly visible information may include display name, avatar, ranking position, and Support amount. A Supporter who marks a payment as anonymous will not have their name or avatar displayed publicly for that payment, but StreamSpot still retains the underlying transaction and email address for receipt, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes; anonymity affects public display only, not what StreamSpot itself records.
StreamSpot will not intentionally display complete payment credentials or other highly sensitive payment information.
19. Supporter Identity
A user can make a Support payment without creating a StreamSpot account. StreamSpot associates a Support transaction with the email address provided at checkout.
Authentication (creating or logging into an account) may subsequently be offered to allow users to access their Support history or other features. Authentication does not necessarily alter the underlying transaction record.
StreamSpot does not guarantee that transactions made using different email addresses, accounts, or payment methods can always be automatically merged into a single identity.
20. Embedded Livestreams
StreamSpot may display livestreams using embedding functionality provided by third-party platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and other platforms supported by StreamSpot. The embedded player remains subject to the applicable third-party platform's technology, availability, policies, and restrictions.
StreamSpot does not: claim ownership of livestream content; intentionally download livestreams for redistribution; intentionally re-stream third-party livestreams; circumvent platform restrictions or authentication; bypass geographic restrictions; remove third-party branding; or otherwise attempt to circumvent technical restrictions imposed by the relevant platform.
A livestream may become unavailable at any time. StreamSpot may remove an embed if the underlying platform disables embedding or if continued display creates legal, security, technical, or policy concerns.
21. Third-Party Platforms
StreamSpot relies on third-party platforms and services, including Twitch, YouTube, Kick, a payment provider (Polar), authentication providers, hosting providers, databases, email providers, and other infrastructure providers.
Changes to third-party APIs, policies, technical restrictions, account status, geographic availability, or embedding functionality may affect StreamSpot. StreamSpot does not guarantee continued compatibility with any particular third-party platform.
22. Creator Content
Creators remain solely responsible for content published through their Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or other accounts.
StreamSpot does not endorse, verify, approve, or guarantee the accuracy, legality, quality, safety, or suitability of Creator content. The appearance of a Channel on StreamSpot does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by StreamSpot.
StreamSpot may remove or restrict Channels that create legal, safety, security, policy, or reputational concerns.
23. User-Submitted Information
Users may submit information including Channel URLs, usernames, display names, social media handles, profile information, Support messages, and other information necessary to operate StreamSpot.
You represent that information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to submit it.
You must not knowingly submit: malicious URLs; phishing links; malware; impersonating profiles; fraudulent information; unauthorized private information; or content designed to deceive users.
24. Prohibited Activities
You may not use StreamSpot to: commit fraud; conduct phishing; distribute malware; impersonate another person or Creator; manipulate rankings through fraudulent activity; generate fake Support transactions; manipulate Supporter rankings; generate fraudulent clicks; use stolen payment methods; abuse chargebacks; manipulate payment systems; circumvent StreamSpot restrictions; interfere with the Service; attack StreamSpot infrastructure; exploit vulnerabilities; scrape the Service in violation of applicable restrictions; engage in illegal activity; or otherwise abuse the Service.
25. Ranking and Support Manipulation
StreamSpot may investigate suspicious activity. If StreamSpot reasonably determines that activity is fraudulent, automated, manipulated, abusive, or otherwise violates these Terms, StreamSpot may invalidate activity, remove a Channel, remove ranking benefits, remove Support activity, adjust rankings, suspend payouts, suspend accounts, restrict future transactions, or take other reasonable action.
StreamSpot may make corrections where necessary to preserve the integrity of the Service.
26. Intellectual Property
StreamSpot and its original software, design, branding, interfaces, logos, databases, graphics, text, animations, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to StreamSpot's operator, except for third-party materials.
Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of StreamSpot's intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit StreamSpot's proprietary materials except as expressly permitted by law or by StreamSpot.
Third-party trademarks, logos, livestreams, and content remain the property of their respective owners.
27. Creator License
By submitting Creator-related information or other content to StreamSpot, you grant StreamSpot a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, format, modify for technical purposes, and distribute that content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, and provide the Service.
This license does not transfer ownership of your underlying content. The license continues only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above and as otherwise required for legitimate operational, legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
28. Copyright and Rights Complaints
If you believe content displayed through StreamSpot infringes your intellectual-property rights or other legal rights, you may contact StreamSpot at svenandreasclausz@gmail.com.
A complaint should include sufficient information to allow StreamSpot to identify: the allegedly infringing material; the relevant URL; the nature of the claimed rights; the basis for the complaint; and appropriate contact information.
StreamSpot may investigate and may remove, disable, or restrict access to the relevant content while investigating. Nothing in this section limits any rights or procedures available under applicable law.
29. Privacy
StreamSpot's collection and use of personal information is governed by its Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy describes how StreamSpot may process information including email addresses; authentication information; Channel information; Support transactions; payment-related identifiers; security information; cookies; analytics information; creator payout information; and other information necessary to operate the Service.
You should review the Privacy Policy before using StreamSpot.
30. Security
StreamSpot takes reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the Service and information processed through it. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
You acknowledge that electronic communications and internet services involve inherent security risks. You should not use StreamSpot to submit information that you are not authorized to disclose.
31. Service Availability
StreamSpot is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. StreamSpot does not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, complete, or compatible with every device or third-party platform.
The Service may temporarily become unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure failures, payment-provider issues, third-party API failures, network failures, security incidents, platform changes, or circumstances outside StreamSpot's reasonable control.
32. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StreamSpot disclaims all warranties, express or implied, concerning the Service, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, uninterrupted operation, accuracy, reliability, expected traffic, expected revenue, Creator growth, audience growth, or particular commercial results.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits warranties or rights that applicable law does not permit StreamSpot to exclude or limit.
33. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StreamSpot and its operator shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, audience, customers, opportunities, or expected results.
StreamSpot shall not be responsible for losses caused by third-party platform outages; changes to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or other third-party services; payment-provider failures; inaccurate information supplied by users; unauthorized access resulting from compromised user credentials; Creator content; third-party livestream content; or circumstances outside StreamSpot's reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StreamSpot's aggregate liability arising from a particular paid transaction shall not exceed the amount actually paid to StreamSpot in connection with that transaction. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
34. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StreamSpot, its operator, and persons working on the Service from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and reasonable expenses arising from your violation of these Terms; your misuse of the Service; information or content you submit; your Channel; your infringement of third-party rights; impersonation; fraudulent activity; payment abuse; or your violation of applicable law.
StreamSpot may assume control of the defense of a claim for which indemnification applies, and you agree to reasonably cooperate.
35. Taxes
Creators are responsible for determining and complying with their own tax obligations arising from Support payments, Reward Pool payments, or other amounts received through StreamSpot.
StreamSpot may collect, request, report, or withhold information or amounts where required by applicable law. Users are responsible for taxes applicable to their own transactions where required by law.
36. Age Requirements
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use paid features of StreamSpot. Where applicable law requires a specific minimum age for purchases, payments, account creation, or other activities, that requirement applies.
Users must not use StreamSpot to circumvent applicable age restrictions.
37. Suspension and Termination
StreamSpot may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to all or part of the Service where reasonably necessary, including where these Terms are violated, fraudulent activity is suspected, payment abuse occurs, legal risk exists, security is compromised, a third-party platform requires action, or continued access presents material risk to StreamSpot or its users.
StreamSpot may also modify or discontinue features. Termination does not automatically eliminate obligations that arose before termination, including obligations relating to payments, refunds, chargebacks, intellectual property, indemnification, disputes, and applicable legal obligations.
38. Changes to StreamSpot
StreamSpot may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including changes to categories, leaderboards, floor pricing, ranking formulas, Support functionality, Support fees, Reward Pool rules, Creator features, widgets, payment methods, and third-party integrations.
Where required by applicable law, material changes will be communicated appropriately. Changes will not retroactively alter completed transactions in a manner prohibited by applicable law.
39. Changes to These Terms
StreamSpot may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published through the Service and will include a new "Last Updated" date. Where legally required, material changes will be communicated through appropriate means.
Your continued use of StreamSpot after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
40. Third-Party Links and Services
StreamSpot may contain links to websites, services, channels, or platforms operated by third parties. StreamSpot does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, privacy practices, security, or availability.
Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.
41. Force Majeure
StreamSpot will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, governmental action, internet failures, infrastructure failures, major cyber incidents, payment-provider failures, third-party platform changes, or other events beyond reasonable control.
42. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permitted. The remaining provisions will remain in effect.
43. No Waiver
Failure by StreamSpot to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision later.
44. Assignment
You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without StreamSpot's prior written consent, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
StreamSpot may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or transfer of the Service.
45. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the documents expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement governing your use of StreamSpot. These documents may include the Privacy Policy, the Rules, and any terms displayed at checkout.
If a specific transaction contains additional terms clearly presented before payment, those terms will apply to that transaction to the extent they do not conflict with these Terms or mandatory law.
46. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
StreamSpot is operated by an individual based in Argentina. These Terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection or other mandatory laws applicable to you in your own country of residence that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive consumers of rights that cannot legally be waived under the law applicable to them.
